The Scuttlebutt

I have witnessed the South Sea Shantymen at many community events and other venues and they absolutely steal the show whenever they perform. From the first chorus to the final encore they get the entire crowd joining in and laughing along. Their musicianship is outstanding, but what really sets them apart is the atmosphere they create: authentic, energetic and full of good humour. Whether you’re a lifelong folk fan or hearing shanties for the first time they make you feel part of the crew. Highly recommend for festivals, pubs, private events and anywhere that could use a bit more spirit and song.
